Since inception, OTK has been guided by a firm philosophy that a company’s main asset is the measure of trust that can be built with both suppliers and clients. HISTORY

2014

Otormerking began its documented project history by providing a HAZOP facilitator for Shell’s ASSA North – Ohaji South project in Lagos, Nigeria. This marked the start of the company’s long-standing focus on process safety and hazard analysis.

2016

This was a significant year for the company, with numerous HSE studies for major clients. They conducted Fire and Explosion Analysis (FEA), Dropped Object Studies (DOS), and Safety Critical Element (SCE) reports for projects with Chevron and NETCO. The year also saw several HAZOP studies for clients like Midwestern Oil and Gas, Olutee Engineering, and Lekoil, demonstrating a growing portfolio of risk assessment services.

2018

The company continued its work in hazard analysis with HAZOP studies for Seplat and Ghana National Gas Company. They also conducted a Pre-Start Up Safety Audit (PSSA) for Pan Ocean/FODE, performed a Noise Study for NETCO/Total, and provided comprehensive technical safety and audit services for Green Energy International/LEKOIL’s Permanent Early Production Facilities at Otakikpo.

2022

This year marked a significant expansion of the company’s global reach. They provided services for Saudi Aramco and Eniprogretti in the UK, Abu Dhabi Polymers in Italy, and Kuwait Oil Company in London. They also conducted safety studies for Ghana Gas and ExxonMobil, underscoring their international client base and expertise in complex, multi-national projects.

2024

A highly active year with projects across the globe. They completed a Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR) for Seplat and a RAM study for Shell in Nigeria. The company also secured new international projects, providing process safety support for British Petroleum (BP) in Azerbaijan and Halfaya Gas Company (HGC) in the UAE.

2025

The company’s momentum from the previous year continued with two major ongoing projects. They are providing facilities analysis for Saudi Aramco’s Increase Shaybah Gas Capacity Project in the UK and conducting a Fire and Gas Mapping Study for Shell Petroleum Development Company’s HA Development Project in Lagos.
